These maps were used by the town assessor for official real estate business and are actually still to this day the official record with updates made from time to time. I have several more editions published later years, this was my earliest edition. The front measures 14 1/2" x 21". The first page is signed by the original owner from 1949 and shows the original price of $3.50. It lists 65 total sheets and is complete with no loose pages. Russell H Whiting was born about 1868. In 1940, he was 72 years old and lived in Weymouth, Massachusetts, with his wife, Mary. He passed away in 1961.
