Antique Royal Stetson Joseph's Man's Shop Austin Texas Hat Terrible Condition - $50 - (Frankston, TX)

This is a hat with a story. It was my grandfathers hat who died in the 60s, it was in my mothers attic when she passed away a couple of years ago. This hat came from the store in Downtown Austin run by Cater Joseph who passed away in 1947. He made the hats for Lyndon Johnson. Grandpa was a german immigrant that farmed Share cropper cotton in Burton Texas before moving to Austin and working for the USPS mail. Last name MAASS. He wore this hat with great pride and considered himself an American Success story and spoke with a heavy German accent all his days. He was well loved by all. Please pardon the story but I can not keep everything and this terrible condition hat is part of Texas and austin history. No size it is medium 7 1/4" long 6 1/2" wide inside.
