50+ Daphnia's eggs comes in the a recloseable poly bag (1.5" x 2"). Little amount of compost based food and sands are mixed in the bag. Actual bag is shown in the pictures. This is NOT living daphnia, contains only hatchable dried eggs. The shelf life is up to 6 months in room temperature and years in freezer. You can hatch and raise the eggs in fresh water with temperature range between 64°F and 82°F. Normally, they hatch out in 3 days and start reproducing in a week, but it takes longer in some environments. Feed them with yeast or green water for the best result. We don't know the exact species name of this water fleas, seems like they are daphnia pulex, the average size is 2.5mm and the maximum size 4mm. We ship to USA addresses only.
