Primitive Hand Forged Iron Fireplace Hearth Trivet with Rat Tail handle - $220 - (Port Jefferson, NY)

Up for auction is a wonderful wrought iron cooking trivet; a hearth fireplace tool for placing pots or pans within the fireplace above the hot coals. It's only decoration is a rat tail handle. Measurements are approximately 6” high by 9.5 wide by 18” long to handle. Good condition, hand hammered, with some rust on surface. There is a repair on the top of one leg, but it is sturdy.
