Vintage 1957 Gibson ES-175-D Guitar Sunburst w/Case SN A25570 – Humbucker model in Sunburst This 60+ year old instrument has been owned by a fellow musician and friend for approx 35 years. It is a wonderful example of this classic guitar and is a sweet Jazz instrument. Prior to the current owner the following parts were changed. It is otherwise original. -Pickups:Neck (Patent No 2737,842 on sticker) Bridge (Pat. No. 2737842 stamped in casing) -The bridge was replaced to a high quality wood assembly with good adjustment -Tailpiece was changed to new of the same style (looks like a Gibson replacement) The instrument in general has been very well cared for There is some checking in the finish and some dings but it presents well It has been played regularly and case stored when not in use The original case shows wear from its rich history but still provides great protection for the instrument Since purchased (approx 1983) no work has been done aside from string changes It is strung with flat wound strings which is typical for jazz and has a gorgeous tone It has spent its life with flat wound strings and as a result the frets are very good My only recommendations would be as follows: Polish the frets Optimize the setup and fresh strings It will be carefully packed in a quality Guitar shipping carton It will be detuned for safety and will include some internal packing as well (I pack them as I would like to receive them) This one is located in the USAUSA PayPal Bidders Only No international shipping at this time
