This snapping turtle was caught in Geneva Swamp Pennsylvania in 1979 it is not on the endangered species list. Giant Common Snapping Turtle Shell. The shell measures 12" wide by 14" long. Measurements are made with the curve of the shell. It has been preserved with Borax and sealed with clear polyurethane on the outside to preserve the natural color kept and stored it's in very good condition.
