Antique Doll bisque head composition body marked Germany Special vintage locket - $400 - (Manchester, MI)
This is a gorgeous, antique doll, that is marked "Special, Germany." She is 23" tall. She has a beautiful round cherubic face, with brown eyes and brown human hair. She has teeth showing, in her mouth. I have cleaned her and her wig. The human hair wig, has thinned out, so I styled it into braids, wrapping around her head and added a vintage gold clip, to her hair. The back of her head shows some of the old glue, from her wig. Her composition body, shows some cracks and chipped paint, especially around her upper arms, and her ball joint hips and knees. There is a crack in her left heel, and her middle right finger is missing. She has her original black leather shoes, that have holes and cracks in them. The left shoe won't come off, without tearing it off, so I am leaving it on her foot. I used a toddlers vintage romper, to make into a white dress for her. It has real shell buttons, and a belt clasp. There is some minor yellowing, in the dress. She has a bonus, vintage locket, with a Victorian man and woman sitting together. Over all, she is in very nice condition, for her age. Please take a look at my other doll listings!
