This is a super fantastic Japanese porcelain gold dust sharkskin glazed vase from the mid to late 19th century. Meiji. A very rich gold background with colourful crysanthamums and two birds in flight. Measures 6" tall by 3" dia. A work of art! Sharkskin glaze is rare, an exacting ceramic art not yet appreciated.
