19th Century Toreador Matador Bullfighter Jacket Vintage Bolero Waistcoat - $190 - (Guthrie, OK)

This phenomenal toreador’s jacket is from the late 19th century or early 20th. The jacket is in excellent condition with one tiny hole on the back of one sleeve. The hole is only in the top layer of black material, not the second layer of black material, so no lining is showing through (see picture 8). At the bottom of each sleeve the jacket is embellished with a velveteen strip and 7 buttons. The buttons are plastic, and are not original to the jacket. The collar is also made of velveteen . The black silk passementerie trim is gorgeous along with the very detailed metal tassels which pushes the look beyond magnificent. The jacket has two pockets both lined with a strip of velveteen on the exterior and red satin on the interior of the pocket. The interior lining of the jacket, along with its embellished embroidery work, is as beautiful as the exterior.
