Sextant Plath Navistar Classic  4 x 40 - $1,900 - (Rochester, WA)

This the top of the line sextant made by Plath, the Navistar Classic. It belonged to a late friend of the family, whose estate I bought from as a memento, but it’s such a beautiful instrument it deserves to be used instead collecting dust in my house. I’m a merchant mariner with 30+ years of experience as a deck/navigation officer. She needs some cleaning and minor repairs and the handle of the gorgeous wooden case is broken. The keys are still with it though. Both the sextant and case have the look and feel of high quality that seems impossible to find anymore.
