Antique 25 Lb Capacity Chicago U. S. A. Kitchen Counter Scale Pat. June 23, 1903 - $45 - (Ashland, WI)

There is rust on it and some of the original finish is missing. I've cleaned it some, but it could use some more cleaning. There are some stains on this that I have not tried to remove. I just use a mild cleaner. Primarily I clean it to remove the Dust. The needle can be adjusted with a dial under the platform. I compared a weight with my postal scale and my postal scale read 15 lb 5.4 Oz and it appears at the kitchen scale registers it at 15 pounds 3 oz. I have not tried a maximum weight of 25 pounds on it. On a flat surface it seems to rock a little bit primarily from the back right corner to the front left corner and that rock is approximately 1/16 of an inch.
