Vintage Steiff Teddy Bear 14 1/2" Pre 1957- Needs Repair This bear was a gift given to me from an Uncle when I was born in 1956. That's why I've dated this as pre 1957. I was told the bear was not new when given but this is unconfirmed. The Bear is beautiful but in need of repair. When I was little I would suck my thumb and carry the bear everywhere I went. Unfortunately I carried him around by the ear - which has been gone as far back as I can remember. All joints move very free. He needs to be stitched up under the left paw as well as on the top of the right leg. There is a bit of fur loss. The growler worked up until last year. I will try to include all those defects in the pictures. It's time to let go of "CiCi" as I used to call him. My husband has metastatic stage 4 prostate cancer ,which after 4 years of conventional medicine failures, is now in full remission thanks to a holistic protocol which is very expensive so I am selling a few things to fund this fantastic treatment.
