Antique Post Civil War 5th Maryland National Guard "The Dandy Fifth" Uniform - $600 - (Richlands, VA)
Rare, antique late 1800s 5th Maryland National Guard "The Dandy 5th" jacket and pants. Good shape for its age. One button is detached but present. Only noted a few small moth holes in jacket and pants and some minor discoloration in areas on jacket. Pants have inside label A. Jacobs & Sons Tailors. Of the buttons that I was able to see the back well, most were marked "Horstmann Bros. & Co. Phil.", about six on the back were marked "Superior Quality", and one was marked "Jacob Reeds Sons Phil." Pants measurements: Inseam - 30 1/2", Waist - 38". Jacket: Armpit to armpit - 16", Front length - 19 1/2". Be sure to read payment instructions and no non-paying buyers please. Thanks!
