Painting is unsigned but includes documentation from Arthur DeVillar and receipt from 1982 ($1500 + tax). Painting was acquired from DeVillar Gallery in Los Gatos, California. Painting is in good condition. Includes a very nice gold & bronze finish frame. Painting was probably lined in the 19th century. Painting was probably lined in the 19th century. ---------------------- Samuel Woodforde (1763-1817) Artist Samuel Woodforde was born at Castle Cary Somerset in 1763. He became a full member of the Royal Academy in 1807 and exhibited 133 pictures. He married Jane Gardner in 1815 and that year left for Italy but died 2 years later in 1817.
