Newcomb College Art Pottery Bowl - $1,750 - (Mechanicsburg, PA)

Very rare Newcomb College pottery bowl. The artist who did the bowl was Anne Francis Simpson marked AFS was her signature. The bowl has the Newcomb mark, the pattern is a wreath of daisies, has the decorators mark and Joseph Meyers mark on the bottom as well. The bowl has the register number GM97, the shape number is 256 and letter "C" for a buff clay body. The bowl stands 3.5" tall and is 6.5" wide.
