Vintage Neumann KM86i Microphone (1970) Ser# 5006 - $2,675 - (Toronto, ON)
This Neumann KM86i microphone is in working order and is in excellent condition. There is inventory codes etched into the body along the rim of the capsule housing (see picture). The finish has very few scratches but has some mottling. The serial number for this microphone is #5006. (I also have microphones #5007 which I can make available) Neumann reports the manufacture year to be 1970. It is 100% original with no modifications (see pictures). This microphone came into my care in 1984. It has been rarely used since that time. The Neumann KM86i is a phantom powered condenser microphone with 2 back-to-back capsules that can be electrically switched to omni, cardioid or figure-8 operation..
