The human hair jewelry was very popular during the Georgian and Victorian period. The necklace is artfully woven and adorned with silver clasp, unmarked. Unlike many other natural materials, human hair does not decay, having chemical qualities that cause it to last for hundreds, possibly thousands, of years. The necklace is as seen in the photos. Measurements: The necklace measures approx. 14.75" long. Condition: The antique necklace is in very good condition.
