Uniden BC80XLT 50-Channel 800MHz Analog Radio Scanner (For Parts) - $10 - (Pittsburg, KS)

Up for sale is a non-working complete radio scanner. This radio scanner use to work perfectly, but, I tampered with it trying to increase the frequency range (not to receive cellular signals) to receive HF. I damaged ONE part that is circled in black sharpie in the last photo on the bottom left-hand corner of the chrome EMI cover. If this part were to be replaced, it would be a working scanner! Or, for just parts. I was a very inexperienced licensed amateur radio operator at the time, and I should have let it be. My lose! I soldered a jumper wire in series with the negative spring electrode on the scanner to the positive electrode in the battery cover due to a poor design by Uniden. I was tired of prying on the spring contact tab , trying to achieve conductivity of the scanner & battery cover. Thanks for viewing my ad!
