This is an original game by the company ofMilton Bradley,Springfield,Massachusetts,that was created in 1860.This is from the early 1900's,which is hallmarked throughout.The game of "Modern Authors"which was and still is a truly educational game.This card game still has the original wonderful box,#4005,7 5/8' by 5 5/8", of the time period.There are 60 cards in total.Each card is numbered and has a picture of the author and his infamous writings.All the cards,3 7/8" by 2 3/4" have a wax coating.The authors include:GEORGE W.GABLE,SAMUEL L.CLEMENS,GILBERT PARKER,EUGENE FIELD,WILLIAMS D.
