La Cage… is a bevy of sight, gags, wildly drawn characters, and rompery, truly the fabric of a farce. Here amidst the age-old triangle of mother, father and child we find a real family. Georges and Albin, partners for over 20-years, learn Jean-Michel, Georges' son from a one-night fling, is engaged to be married to Anne. George and Albin are the owners of the infamously bawdy and risqué St. Tropez nightclub, La Cage auxiliary Folles. When Anne's parents arrive to meet Jean-Michel’s parents, the farce and fun begins. Anne's father is the Director of the conservative ‘Tradition, Family, and Morality’ Party, and committed to closing down St. Tropez’s immoral businesses, 1 of which is La Cage auxiliary Folles.
