MEDIEVAL MAIDEN’S RING, 7th-10th CENTURY - $80 - (Clinton, MI)

Gilt bronze, of general form of the woman’s rings of the period which were probably used a wedding rings. These are smaller and simpler in design with rudimentary foliage to the flared shoulders and diamond motif to the oval bezel. Worn by young girls until they were betrothed in their early teens.
