Italian Antique Drop Front Desk - $8,500 - (De Soto, KS)

This magnificent mid 18th century (circa 1760) Italian pear wood drop front desk is from Siena. The drop front opens to reveal various cubby holes and two small drawers. The lock and hardware are original. The desk has a beautifully worn patina that has faded to a soft honey color. This is what really makes the desk unique. It’s both elegant and rustic. Very classy.Please note that there are some graffiti scratches on the inside of the drop down desk top table side.
