Antique Vintage Westinghouse Blade Iron Fleur-de-lis Ceiling Fan Architectural - $45 - (Tallahassee, FL)
1. Description/Details: These are original fleur-de-lis blade irons for a Westinghouse “Sidewinder” ceiling fan manufactured from 1915 to 1917. The mounts on the bottom of the blade irons are slightly curved because the blades are bolted directly to the side of the motor casing. When the fan is turned on, the entire casing (the side and top) spins around, while the bottom face plate remains stationary. Would make a great addition to any steampuke project for décor. Material/Composition: Cast Iron with brass screws Texture/Feel/Finish: Embossed and pebble-like finish on the front and smooth on the back. Colors: Black, Bare Metal Shape/Features: Embossed fleur-de-lis design, curved blade iron mount Era/Genre: 1910’s Original Use/Purpose: Blade iron that would hold the ceiling fan blade to the fan motor casing.
