Edwardian gentleman's chair circa 1800-1899 - $575 - (Lafayette, LA)

I've had this wonderful chair in my NON-SMOKING home for approx. 40 years, and have NEVER altered a thing on this Edwardian/Victorian chair...not sure of period, but do think it is Edwardian or Victorian... It has NO issues on the fabric or the wood, but if more pics are needed, I would be happy to do so. If you have ever ridden in a PORSCHE vehicle, you would understand this statement. It is the MOST COMFORTABLE chair I have ever sat in. HOWEVER, it is for the YOUNGER. I'm up in age now, need good young body parts to remove yourself from this chair, it sets low to the floor, and was designed for the gentleman's sword, or the young ladies large gown back in those days. From the floor to the seat it measures 10-1/2", from the back area of the seat, and then moves upward to a higher point for the back of your legs, roughly 15"....It is such a great design for sitting long periods of time.... The peach tone smooth velvet fabric has an almost "dullness" to it, which is another great aspect, which would tend to go with any other color/colors, and would go with any other decor. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY....*****I have an "ALMOST" matching stool, but at a separate price, and has off-white bouillon fringe surrounding the stool, which is just the right height for that chair, which I have had for these years, as well. Bought if specifically for this chair...if interested let me know...
