Antique French Clock Sculpture by Mathurin Moreau (1822-1912), a French sculptor of academic style. Cast Spelter (metal) on an Alabaster Base. Sculptue is titled: "L Indiscret". It depicts a young woman retrieving a love letter from a tree stump while being watched by Cupid. Hallmarked at the Paris foundry "Fabrication Francaise Paris. Made in Paris" Circa 1892. Sculpture and base is 25" high. Base is 12" wide X 6.75" deep. Enamel clock face is 3.5" in diameter. Clock is in working order.
