Newcomb College Pottery 10" dogwood vase Arts & Crafts matte blue green yellow - $4,695 - (Boston, MA)

Here is a beautiful Newcomb College Pottery tall corset shaped dogwood floral vase in their signature matte blue and green glazes with yellow centers to the flowers. It is very well carved with good contrast and color. It measures 10 inches tall and 4 5/8 inches in diameter at the lip. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, or firing flaws, just a little glaze unevenness at the foot. Marked with the firm's die-stamped NC mark, a conjoined SI for artist Sadie Irvine, date code LG 86 for 1920, and a conjoined JM for potter Joseph Meyer. An exceptionally nice example of the quintessential Arts & Crafts southern art pottery.
