Vintage Bjorn Weckstrom Lapponia Bronze Pendant, Bethlehem Steel, Finland, circa 1970’s This beautiful Vintage Bjorn Weckstrom Cast Bronze Pendant Necklace is named “Bethelehem Steel” and is part of his ‘Flame Bronze’ model range. The model range was designed in 1971, and had a limited production between 1971 and 1979. The pendant is cast bronze, and it and the chain have a blue and purple patina. The pendant measures approximately 3.25 inches high, 2 3/8 inches wide, .75 inch deep, and has a 26 inch chain. The pendant is marked “Lapponia Bjorn Finland” and it and the chain weigh 65.5 grams. Given some light scratches this Bjorn Weckstrom pendant and chain are in very good vintage condition. (See Photos) Bjorn Weckstrom (b.1935) was one of the founders and the first designer for the Finnish jewelry firm Lapponia. Weckstrom is still working today and had been one of the most innovative Finnish designers of the 1960’s.
