RARE Early Vintage 70s BILL SCHIFFER Painted Resin Eye Brooch PIN - $175 - (Rhinelander, WI)

For sale here is a rare early vintage 1970s handmade painted resin Eye design brooch pin by New York artist jewelry designer Bill Schiffer. This is very early work by this artist and seems to me to be inspired by the Pop Art of Lichtenstein, Yellow Submarine, drug culture - Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, and eastern mysticism. Later in his career in the 1980s 90s Schiffer made mega rhinestone encrusted jewelry. Measures 3" by 2". Signed and dated March 25, 1972 as shown.
