This is a handy tool when wet felting large projects. It helps you evenly wet down all of your surface, without burning your hands in the extremely hot water. Also great when wet felting with kids. Good way to have them participate either in your project or to help control the amount of water they are to put on their own project. The metal snout is removable for easy cleaning. The Bulb can suck up about 3/4 cup of water or soap solution at a time by placing it in the water, gently pressing the bulb to create a suction, then simply squeeze the ball over your felting area to provide an even shower of water. If you are using a soapy solution, the last bit of the squeeze is usually just suds, which helps to get a soapy film onto your hands.
