Canada 1996 PCGS MS-66 German Planchet $2.00 Toonie. Ultra Scarce - $500 - (North Perth, ON)

For sale is a modern rarity, a 1996 German Planchet Toonie, graded MS-66 by PCGS. This coin is very tough to find, and nearly impossible to verify outside mintstate grades. PCGS records only 9 in MS-66, with one graded higher. My ICCS population report (2012) only shows a single example in MS-66, and notes that ICCS no longer distinguishes between Canadian and German planchets in their grading. That being the case, there are only 11 in this condition, and not likely to be many more. PCGS Cert # 539886.66/85179922.
