This bear was made for the 1995 Grand Opening of The Vermont Teddy Bear Shelburne Factory. Made in a limited edition of ONLY 100 -this bear is #94. He is 13", 5 way jointed, honey mohair, glass eyes, dressed in red shirt, blue tails (lined in purple) with a black/white check bowtie. He is signed by the head bear artist Kathleen Straub. I purchased this bear years ago from the estate of an elderly bear collector (who passed) and displayed him in my bear store when it was open. Since closing he has been stored in my closet. I did call The Vermont Teddy Bear store for info on him. Was told he could ONLY be purchased by the first 100 people that were invited to the opening ceremony. Was told Kathleen signed the bear with her first name only and hand numbered them. He is a very special bear! He will be shipped very carefully with signature confirmation and will need to be signed for.If you are a Vermont Teddy Bear collector this would be a wonderful addition to your collection.
