The bottom is embossed with "Made in Boonton N.J. U.S.A 102-10." Vintage Melmac plates are great for outdoor use where you need to be careful with glass, or use around small children. They are also extremely sturdy and will last for decades. It is why they were used in college and hospital cafeterias around the country before the nation went disposable.
