Vintage Replogle Comprehensive Globe, Metal Stand & Metal Arc - $20 - (Farmington, MO)

Vintage Replogle Comprehensive Globe has metal stand and metal arc (the arc listing statute miles on one side and degrees on the other). Not sure of the exact age (but probably at least 30-40 years) as can be seen by the photos. It was made in Chicago; the globe itself measures 12" in diameter, 30.48 cm. Loads of information on this globe--shipping routes, ocean currents, city populations, the USSR as it was, and much more. The globe will be shipped with the metal base detached (it just requires one screw--included--to reassemble). Someone has marked some routes in black on the globe. In the north Pacific ocean region there are a couple narrow linear areas that look as if they had a "scrape" and a couple offset areas near the equator that may be the result of a thump or fall but overall It is in pretty good shape.
