I have run a few Maxell cassettes through it. Both speeds work well. The mic performs appropriately at both normal and high gain settings. The internal speaker sounds like it should. Fwd/rwd's. VAS is working at both settings. There are a few cosmetic blemishes and the pause switch does not work. Overall a solid dictaphone for cassette tape! Shipping without batteries. Thanks for looking!
