Baldric & Sword - forged guard, tooled leather belt, brass buckle, custom hanger - $229 - (Port Huron, MI)

For sale is a new hand crafted baldric, sword and scabbard. All the items are new, but have been treated to give them the appearance of age. All the components look like they have a history and a story to tellThe baldric is 3” wide, about 20” long on the buckle side, and 54” on the other. The baldric has 9 buckle holes spaced 1 ½” apart beginning 29” from the joint. The baldric has a rugged looking brass buckle that has been aged and patinaed. The baldric has a sleeve to accommodate the sword and can be adused using the laces. The leather was hand cut from a single hide, broken in by hand and rubbed with oil to make it soft and supple. The baldric has two parellel tooled lines. All the stitching was done by hand.The sword blade is about 28” long. The handle is about 5” long. The grip has been hand inlayed. The handle guard was forged and shaped by the blacksmith at Black Hand Trading Company. The scabbard has a hand carved, decorative badge at the center. The wood has been wrapped with brown leather with the rough side out. Please visit my other auctions for more unique items.
