Free Range Films and Kitsap Environmental Coalition Present: Behind the Emerald - N.A. - (Kingston, WA)

Behind the Emerald Curtain is a film about the hidden impacts of industrial style clearcutting, road building and pesticide application, all of which are often concealed behind propaganda and beauty strips. Set in Oregon, the logging practices exposed in this film have a direct impact on those of us in Kitsap County through increasing clearcuts that damage the landscape and introduce harmful chemicals such as the controversial herbicide glyphosate (used in RoundUp and other products). Local activists from the Kitsap Environmental Coalition will present details about clearcutting and glyphosate spraying in our area---and lead a discussion about possible community responses.
