ANTONIUS STRADIUVARIUS CREMONENFIS FACIEBAT ANNO 1721 CZECH VIOLIN COPY BOW CASE - $95 - (Charlottesville, VA)

I just purchased an antique violin at a local estate here in Central Virginia. The paper inside the violing reads: Antonio Stradiuvarius Cremonenfis Faciebit Anno 1721, Made in Czechoslovakia. There is also written: Repaired M Travis 1-15-49. The violin measures 23 1/2" in length and 8" at the widest point. The instrument appears to be in good condition, without cracks to the wood, although there is some wear to the finish. It has strings and a bridge as well a chin rest. The bow is without hair, but in good condition. The wooden case is solid but has some cracks and the inside lining is flaking. I have no expertise in instruments and the violin is being sold as found. I am happy to answer any questions or provide more photos.
