Heath and co. Sextant, English made, Museum Condition - $2,000 - (Champaign, IL)

Heath and co. Sextant, English made, Museum Condition. Thank you for taking the time to view this item. I have looked up the company that made this sextant and come up with a great big goose egg. I bought this Sextant at an Nautical antique shop in Boston when I was in the Navy 40 Years ago. The Sextant’s excellent patina has not been altered by me. The instrument and all accoutrements have been kept in the box in warm and dry storage during my possession and only being handled with white inspection gloves (those goofy one-size-fits-all-but-only-your-fingers type) whenever I wanted to admire it. It is missing the locking hardware and the handle and the left lid clasps but is in excellent working order as far as I can determine and has never been altered from the condition it was in when purchased. It was certified in 1941 (World War II) as seen with the certificate pictured and signed off by a CG Darwin. All shades, mirrors and telescopes are good and workable. Thank you.
