Large Japanese Moriage Vase Immortal on turtle Ocean Waves Heavy Gold - $295 - (Delphi, IN)

Honorable Customers: Here to crown you collection is this fantastic Moriage vase. These were the most difficult to fire as so much of the feature is applied. It was in high export demand as the west preferred this style. The finished product was hard earned. The vase retains most of the gilding. It has waves that splash right off the vase. These are extremely delicate and it is a wonder they remain in tact. There are chips on both sides. The deity on the turtle has a broken lamp in his hand and the reverse side is missing a couple of ends on the leaves to the left of the immortal.
