Extremely rare antique pre-prohibition Debuque Brewing sign produced by Tuchfarber. The sign was made between 1881 and 1903. The sign reads The Model Brewery of the West the home of banquet beer Dubuque brewing and malting Company. Paint is flaking and has some missing. See pictures for best description of condition. The original frame is in decent condition as shown. This measures 30 1/2" X 40 1/2" tall. There's a lot of interesting artwork going on in this sign. Including a majestic woman, the brewery plant, men having a meeting, and the debuque bottle. The Tuchfarber Sign Company was established in 1881 in Cincinnati Ohio. They were famous for making lithographs and other print forms of advertising. They later closed their doors in 1903 after financial issues. This is extremely rare and I would be highly doubtful that one ever comes up for sale again. Offered as local pick up only.
