Antique English Majolica TEAPOT FAN & SCROLL - aka Fan & Insect by Fielding A beautiful majolica Teapot with a golden yellow, pebbly "orange peel" textured ground and a pretty pink interior.  It is decorated with brightly colored aesthetic elements - a purple fan with an insect on one side - a cobalt scroll with a bird on the other - surrounded with randomly placed flowers.  Both the spout and the handle are made to look like tree branches. Measures:  7.5" tall, 8" span handle to spout - will hold up to 56 ounces Condition:  VERY GOOD overall - previously owned/used antique majolica teapot - a few chips around the spout - a very short hairline and several tiny chips/roughness around the inner rim of the pot from contact with the lid - possible repair to the finial on the lid with a couple small glaze flakes at the base of the finial - NO other chips, cracks or repairs - overall age crazing - Beautiful Bright Colors! circa 1880 Pictures sell!
