COLLINS 32S-1 TRANSMITTER WITH 516F-2 POWER SUPPLY/SPEAKER - WE - $999 - (Cedar City, UT)
Collins 32S-1 Transmitter SN 513 - Note the 4 resistors in series/parallel on underside. A previous repair tech was unable to locate the exact resistor needed, so the 4 resistors were installed. I decided to leave them, but replaced many capacitors, all cathode resistors and many tubes to achieve specs. All controls operate as expected, and all bands are working. The VFO is slightly tight. Power output is at specs with a pair of new final tubes. Cosmetically not mint but not bad either. The white paint in the meter face has deteriorated slightly, and there is graphics wear around the loading toggle. No add on holes or modifications were found. A so-so copy of the manual is included. Collins 516F-2 Power supply SN 12126 - Rebuilt with new capacitors, chokes, and solid state rectifiers; power transformer is original. The cabinet is not bad but not mint either. The AC cord and the Power Cord are in good condition. Please note: These items are 50+ years old.
