This Kenwood SM-220 Station Monitor is a 10 MHz Oscilloscope. It is a multi-function monitor scope which functions as a band-scope (with BS-8 pan display option, which has been installed), a wideband transmission monitor, and a built-in 1000/1575 Hz Two Tone Generator. It is the ideal product for supporting, monitoring and calibrating equipment in radio stations. It can be used to observe SSB distortion, CW key clicks, and test linearity of linear amplifiers. It has four sweep ranges. It also can serve as a RTTY tuning scope with its RTTY X-Y tuning meter. Frequency range: 1.8-150 MHz. Maximum Power: 2000W 1.8-54 MHz and 100W 150 MHz. IF Frequency: 455 kHz The SM-220 is compatible with several Kenwood Transceivers. The dimensions are 8.5 x 6.25 x 13.3 inches and the weight is 11 Lbs. The Kenwood BS-8 Panadapter Accessory has been installed. It is a panoramic display option for the SM-220 Station Monitor, when used with the companion Kenwood TS-820S or TS-830S HF Transceivers. The SM-220 can display a selectable ± 20 kHz or ± 100 kHz portion of the spectrum. The pan display employs a logarithmic compression system, so weak and strong signals can be monitored simultaneously. The BS-8 Panadapter comes with a special graticule, which has been installed on the SM-220 oscilloscope screen. The graticule which was originally installed on the SM-220 is also included in the sale. As the original owner, I have used the SM-220 Monitor with the BS-8 Panadapter often in my station, a non-smoking environment, for several years, with no issues. This monitor operates today as well as it did when I first bought it. The original Kenwood Instruction Manual will be included in the sale.
