Vintage Electro Harmonix LPB2 - For repair of parts - EHX NYC - Boost - $49 - (Glenshaw, PA)
Vintage EHX LPB-2. Nice cosmetically but needs repair. These are extremely simple circuits & should be an easy & inexpensive fix. There is a pre-drilled hole covered with a metal button so you may be able to mod it with an AC adapter socket. Cosmetically it's very good. Lettering is vibrant. Brushed metal is still shiny with some mild pitting in spots. I acquired this 'new in box' in the 1980s from a shop that was going out of business. It never seemed to work properly. Was more of an attenuator than a boost. Maybe a factory defect by 'Esther'! I assume it was wired incorrectly.Esther is the name hand written on the small white tag inside. When probing through it one day, I accidentally snapped one of the wires of a resistor (on the last circuit pic). Very cheap replacement. I wanted to rewire this to a germanium boost but since EHX is becoming legendary, it should be kept original. Selling it to downsize for a move. See pics. Any questions fee free to ask.
