BASKETVILLE PUTNEY VERMONT SMALL SIZE FIRKIN w/TOP HANDLE EXCELLENT CONDITION - $15 - (Santa Barbara, CA)

This is the cutest little Firkin! It measures 5" tall, 5 1/4" wide at the bottom, 4 1/2" wide at the top, and the top handle is 3/4" wide and it rises 3" above the top rim of the bucket. It is all hand made, with two narrow metal bands across the width top and bottom. The handle is attached with hand made dowels. Marked on the bottom Basketville, Putney, Vermont. There is a very slight remnant of a light carving on the front that looks like it was done freehand, but it is so faint that I cannot tell what it is. It could be floral or animal, don't know. Great small size for so many uses. Pens, cotton balls, kitchen tools, makeup brushes, you get the idea. No stains or odors. All in great condition. It doesn't appear to have been used at all.
