HEY! Let's Read! Book Festival for Children of Color - Spring 2019 - N.A. - (Decatur, GA)
Join us as we celebrate reading! Reading opens the creativity and imagination of each child who holds a book. Our 1st event hosted over 200 people and our 2nd... over 1,200 people! We are looking for an even greater turnout for this Spring edition! Become a part of the movement! We are excited to welcome bestselling author, Kimberla Lawson Roby to our festival! HEY! Let's Read Book Festival! will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 10am - 3pm. It is a half-day filled with activities and resources dedicated to Children of Color. In addition to books available for purchase from local and nationally-recgnized authors, giveaways that feature Children of Color as the protagonists and main characters, there will be opportunities to foster a love of reading and learning! For the 1st time we will have a Adult Corner... all material is family friendly :-) Food vendors will be available, along with face painting, music & entertainment, storytelling and raffles!
