Hinton – First Edition General Condition: Book – Very Good Dust Jacket – Very Good This is a sound attractive gift or collector quality hardback in a dust jacket. The dust jacket has mild edge wear and a small stain on the front that wraps around onto the spine; there is a small hole on the rear flap fold; it is soft at the spine ends. The dust jacket is not price clipped and shows the original price of $8.95 at the top of the front flap. The book is in rather nice condition with a severe bump to the top rear corner and a mild bump to the front top corner; the bottom corners are sharp and square; it is a little soft at the spine ends. There is some light tape residue on both the front and rear covers left over from a former owner’s decision to tape down the dust jacket even though it had been protected with a plastic cover. There is light dust/soil and mild foxing to the top edge of the text block and a small spot on the fore edge. The interior is bright and clear except where it is inscribed on the title page; "To Jaye P. - Keep on Reading! S. E. Hinton 1980". Picture is of the actual book that you will receive.
