The Black Public Health Student Network (BPHSN) at The George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health (GWSPH) would like to invite you to participate in our annual convening, the Communities of Color Health Conference, on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 9:00am – 3:30pm at the Milken Institute School of Public Health, located at 950 New Hampshire Avenue N.W. Washington, D.C. 20052. Our student-led conference is designed to increase awareness of present health disparities, amplify the voices of communities of color, and mobilize students, faculty, and community members to action. We are excited to celebrate our tenth year hosting this conference! This year, the theme is, “Us Too: A Health and Healing Movement for Women of Color.” The viral #MeToo movement has created a platform to address public health issues, such sexual assault, however the experiences of women of color are often silenced or unheard.
