1968 Gibson Dove Acoustic Guitar - $4,950 - (Jacksonville, FL)
1968 (quite possibly earlier) Gibson Dove with the original case. This is I believe to be, a one family owned guitar before I acquired it. Inherited by the grandson from his grandfather. Judging by the beautiful and all original condition, I believe that this instrument (plus the original case, which also is in very good all round condition) Has always been well looked after and never ever used professionally. Professional repair to a hairline crack in line to top E string. As we all know, Tom Petty owned a Gibson Dove, that he used as his primary guitar to write songs. The sound of this maple sides and back Gibson Dove is superb and It's hard to not like the looks of this guitar. It just looks fabulous and a joy to play. So very distinct from any other acoustic guitar out there, it would hardly ever be a question as to what guitar it is that you're playing, a beautiful instrument. No point in rambling on and on......I do believe the photos say it all. However I do have more photos if you wish to see them and if you need anymore information please just get in touch. I keep this beautiful guitar humidified in its case when not being played. A very reluctant sale. Pick up is definitely preferable, or maybe a prearranged delivery by myself.
