Up for auction is a 1966 Harmony H173 nylon string guitar and case. She is in excellent, near mint condition. This is an all solid wood, USA made guitar. She is a Classical sized and styled guitar, with all solid wood construction; spruce top, and hardwood (birch?) back and sides. There is a very faint date stamp on the inside visible from the soundhole of F-66 and in smaller letters below 'Made in U.S.A.".The top has aged very nicely; it is Spruce, but has ambered to the point where you might mistake it for Cedar. The top is bound in very pretty tortoise, which is all intact and in excellent shape. The tuners are mint, no tarnish, no shrinking of the plastic, or bending of the shafts. The nut and saddle are the original; I believe they are bone.An estate sale find, it looks to have been never played; no fret wear, no fingernail divots, no wearing through of the 'ebonizing' of the fretboard to the maple underneath, no buckle rash, nothing but two very minor nicks in the finish of the top keep me from listing it as mint. I have made no repairs, and done no setup. I've cleaned the dust off, and am selling as found.
